Hi Laurie,
I saw your reply on the forum. I am sorry to hear about your accident. I am thankful that you (or the other driver) were not seriously injured. I will definitely miss you at the reunion. Take care.
I look forward to seeing everyone as well!! It will be a fun trip. My husband and I will only be able to be there on Sat., though. Ran into a conflict that was unavoidable but we'll be there all afternoon and evening on Sat. Information will be coming soon in the mail. I'm almost done putting it all together. See you soon!!
It will be nice to see you there! After reading the flyer, looks like it is going to be a fun weekend! I really wanted to see the school again. Plus, I've told my husband about all of the fun times at the Rock Quarry, so I'm glad I finally get to take him there! See you in Sept.
Yes, I am planning to come for the reunion barring any natural disaster or illness. I'm sure the 2 oldest girls will not be able to come with me but I will try to drag along my son and youngest daughter who both are still at home and I have a little control over (hahaha)!!
I just figured today how to view my comments. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to respond. And to think - I really do consider myself computer literate.
Thanks for the note on the kids and right back at you on yours. I am guessing that if I even begin to think I have got it rough you might smile and know what the teen years hold ahead for me.
Are you planning to come back for the reunion? I would love for my family to meet yours.
Take care and just remember - it might take me 3 more months to respond. :)
Hi Laurie! I just have 3 words to say to you....TWO MILE RACE! ha! I remember running (or jogging, or walking, or whatever!) the two mile race together in track our sophmore year. That was a long season! ha! What were we thinking? Glad to hear things are going so well for you! Congrats on the upcoming bachelors degree! Will you be coming to the reunion in Sept?
I am so glad I found you today! And thank you for taking the time to fill out your page and let us know what has been happening with you.
I hope that you are able to load some pictures of your kids on here as well. It has been amazing seeing the wonderful families our class has produced.
If you are in contact with any other classmates, it would be great if you passed on the website info to them.

About Me:
I am "older than dirt" if you ask my kids. I am married to my wonderful husband Richard. No, I do not have twin girls as you may have thought when looking at my children's names and ages, Samantha is my step daughter, Chelsy is my biological daughter, Cody is my biological son and Kaitelyn is my step daughter. I did not attend college right out of high school and worked quite a few dead end jobs before I realized college really was the place for me. I am now a full time employee with the Upward Bound program at NCCC and a full time student through the Fort Hays State University virtual education program. I will finish my Bachelos degree in Sociology in December of 2008 and will be starting my Masters degree coursework in the fall concurrent with my last semester of undergrad work. I plan to graduate with my masters degree in May 2010, the same year my son graduates from high school. I am a Kansas certified Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate and work part time at our local hospital in the EMS department. I made my home in Southeast Kansas 15 years ago after moving around Kansas trying to find someplace I really felt at home. My 2 oldest children are full time college students. Samantha is attending school at Flint Hills Technical School in Emporia Kansas working on her Associate's degree in graphic arts. Chelsy is attending College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri working on a Bachelor's degree in mass communications. I am a huge Nascar fan and Matt Kenseth is my favorite driver. I went to my first Nascar race in October of last year at Kansas Speedway and plan to attend every year from now on.
